Baby

I felt the baby kick last night. It was cool.

Baseball live blogging:
Do you see how much gum that Detroit player on the bench has in his mouth? Must be like 8 pieces.

Is that a #11 bar Frank Thomas is swinging in the on deck circle?

That's all, going to bed while I can still fall asleep listening to the rain against the windows. Quite a day in NY, what with a plane crashing into a building and it turning out to be the Yankees, again dominating the news despite the fact the Mets are in the NLCS. And the Mets got rained out. I'd feel sorry for them, but the Mets are evil.

What age are you too old to dress up for Halloween? I say 12.

I was thinking about blogging about the whole dressing-up-for-Halloween thing, because it seems that it is more an ADULT holiday now than ever! Most of the costumes in the stores are for grown-ups! When teenagers come to my door wanting candy, my first thought is to not give them any because they are way too old for trick-or-treating. Then I remember what they might do to my house and I give them one piece each. I would agree with 12 except that Darling Daughter is 12 this year and still wants to dress up. So maybe I'll say 13....

I think it should be two different questions. I didn't dress up last year but have many years of my adult life. It's fun. How old was I when I stopped trick-or-treating? Maybe 10.

Glad y'all are ok what with the plane drama.

And yea for kicking babies!

How great that you got to feel the baby kick! That is a milestone moment. About Halloween - you know who really LOVES dressing up!! Gay people. Don't know why -they just do. I'm sure there is some psychological theory about people liking to dress up, like it might give you premission to act like an idiot, or you can reveal your inner self, or some such idea. It's only cute when really little kids do it, I think.

That is the funniest comment I've ever read, Bubba's Mom! Ha! And what's wrong with you people not dressing up?! Maybe it's just the old and single people who do...
